Arbeitsatmosphäre

Scrum without agile mindset became a micro-management tool. In my opinion, the manager abuses his manager power and misconcept agile. For my work, I get appreciation from co-worker and customer, but could not get from my manager. I get trust from customer and co-worker, but my manager told me he does not trust me.

Kommunikation

If you can accept a manager yelling, he is manager, he decide or something is good because he thinks it is good. You can clearly see that some managers try to convince you by giving different arguments when there is disagreement, but not my manager.
I not allowed to say what I need or do not need, because he decide. I can not decide who I ask inside the team, because he decide "communication channel".

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Software engineers are actually good, but many have left. I also get a lot of help from other groups.
Just too many people that are responsible ONLY for communication or management or organization.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Manager does not set any goal (which is ok, because he does not participate in the project), but want to monitor the progress (which is also ok if the manager say it politely). Progress is reported in every Daily, he did not provide help or suggestions during the process. But after the problem is solved, he say, you should do this and that and he can make it more efficient if you said earlier.

Interessante Aufgaben

Luckily the work is not defined by this manager. The work is more interesting when this manager is not there.

Gleichberechtigung

The manager tried to create unnecessary hierarchy inside the group. It might because I am foreigner, I am woman, I have experience but is supposed to be supervised by someone, who is german, who join the same time as me, who does not have work experience before and who is not work in the same project. I am not sure if gender and nationality are the reasons or simply the management style of that particular manager.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are very experienced colleague stay more than 20 year, or very new. There is no middle ones.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Computer is hot all the time and the fan makes a lot of noise. Old version control system, takes a lot of time and manual work to configure.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Not competitive in Munich region. One tip, negotiate the salary before you join, there is no chance to negotiate salary after you join because manager decide and it is not uncommon.

They put a lot of effort to create good image. However, Kununu score dropped from 4+ (2020) to 3+ (2023), which might reflect something.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Completely no career development relevant training. Also no technical training. The agile trainer was actually ok, but I don't understand why the managers are not properly trained.
