Great potential, but it's not for everyone
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Excellent flexible hybrid model. Technically, you have full flexibility when you come into the office. There were free coffee and free snacks available. Tech teams also got good IT devices. Since English is the company language, the staff is quite international, making the workplace interesting and enjoyable. Employees are generally well-integrated into their teams.
Chance to visit the Cologne office if you work in Spain and vice versa. Local contracts/conditions for each offices though.

A lot ...
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Relatively high turnover, which can create an uncomfortable vibe. We saw many employees leave (often before the end of their six-month probationary period). Communication about these people’s departure was very intransparent, which was also worrying. The high turnover could potentially be avoided: a) they may want to provide more guidance during the onboarding process, unless you are really someone who can “hit the ground running” (bc managers are too busy and too stressed to follow new employees’ work closely); b) clearer job descriptions and job expectations; yes, even in a startup where you need to be flexible. Postgrads’ experience is a mixed bag: while some do well even though they are not very experienced, in many cases, they experience problems. Probably you will have a better experience and more impact if you already have some professional experience.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It felt like the company’s mission more and more got lost while the workload and pressure increased massively over time. Moreover, there was a general fear to layoffs due to the high turnover.
Kommunikation
They make an effort to communicate company matters to the staff. Yet, some important details were regularly left out. Also, open communication/sharing individual feedback is not desired by the leadership board as long as it differs from their point of view.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I often felt that my colleagues did not value my input. I made some valuable suggestions that I felt were ignored.
Work-Life-Balance
This place has a work hard/work hard culture, with little time for play. Lots of pressure.
Of course this depends on your relationship with your particular manager, but it can be difficult to work here if you are looking for a family-friendly environment.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
To my taste, the management was too much top-down.
Interessante Aufgaben
It happened relatively frequently that I was working on previously agreed projects, which then were stopped. Instead, some, at least in my view, suboptimal solutions were prioritized, which on top of that resulted in monotonous tasks.
Gleichberechtigung
In some teams, there are massive pay gaps. Moreover, employees with certain backgrounds experienced issues in their everyday life.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
My impression is that they follow a trend to hire young people. Some managers are also quite young and, in some cases, lack experience.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Modern office and pleasant hybrid culture. Yet, there were not enough meeting rooms/phone booths for the amount of staff. As a result, many people had phone conferences at their desk which often made it hard for me to focus.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
If you have a tech position, you tend to have a competitive salary. In non-tech teams this is not guaranteed. Moreover, there are huge pay gaps within teams. The perks could be better as well; e.g. the personal development budget is relatively modest.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
They unfortunately do not have the resources to train their staff. The onboarding is kept quite limited as well. There is a personal development budget but it is relatively modest.
