Lots of nice and helpful colleagues. Working from home and the like makes it difficult to have a good network outside of your own team/project.

Work-Life-Balance

Important in the external presentation, but overall it clearly depends on the project. During good times, there is always pressure to do this presentation, that tender or that certification, either on the side or by cutting time out of projects in some other way. Depending on the contract model, most overtime can get forfeited. Flexible work hours are possible. Only 28 days of vacation is the least I've had in any of my jobs.

Overall positive, it can happen that you are flooded with tasks.

Many initiatives for minorities/women. Many foreign/English speaking colleagues, employer seems to be attractive for them.

I hardly know colleagues who are 50 and older...

Arbeitsbedingungen

Laptops and cell phones could be better. Private use of the laptop has been prohibited in recent years and they're full of company internal spyware now. The fact that many people work from home falls by the wayside in internal communication and in the minds of management. The onsite office feels dark and cold. Some internal tools are difficult to use, don't work properly, or don't exist. It is difficult to find the right information. Thankfully the colleagues are usually nice. Events with my team colleagues in are too rare.

Everyone wants to be green, but then you have softdrink cans at the vending machines in offices

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

You (should) start quite well, after that big raises become difficult without changing grades. The budget for raises is distributed from the top down and according to salary bands, which on the one hand ensures even and fair distribution, but at the same time there is hardly any basis for negotiation in special circumstances/performance. On the other hand, raises are constant and noone is forgotten. Good company lease car options, if you're in one of the right company units.

Quite good, but brand awareness would have to be even better for thier own claim

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Lots of opportunities, but you have to take care of it yourself. Internal material and on-demand training are quite nice. Whether progress is made also depends on the line manager. It is questionable whether the processes are lived the same way everywhere.
Sometimes a very opportunistic approach to projects, you get tasks that are inappropriate to your own history and development.
