Unlawful Termination Following International Relocation
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Questionable decision making:
I had an agreed start date of December 1, 2024 as a Software Developer - Frontend at COMAN Software established in August 2024. In preparation for this role, I resigned from my previous job in the United States, sold all my belongings, declined another full-time job offer in the US, and relocated to Germany in October 2024.
I submitted all required documentation, including the Einstellungszusage (employment offer) and Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis (declaration of employment relationship) signed by HR at COMAN Software. While awaiting my work permit to commence employment, the company informed me in November 2024—after I had already relocated—that the employment would not proceed and stated they would no longer honor the signed Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis.
This decision caused significant disruption to my life and career.
Edit: This feedback concerns the onboarding process, not a previous employer.
Edit 2: There has been a claim that I did not enter Germany specifically for COMAN Software, which is false. I confirm that in my discussions with the Bundespolizei upon entry to Germany on October 31, 2024, the purpose of my stay was for COMAN Software and nothing else at that time.
