Some colleagues are really friendly, helpful as well as capable and have great ideas.

Today, I wouldn't join anymore. The company was having a lot of degrees of freedom, but with French management on top this is getting more and more a big corporate with all of its disadvantages.

Just keep doing things as you do now: Let good people leave, promote the loyal ones, keep up a woke company culture, don't take competitors as klarna for serious, stick to 80ies IT management style.

Control, micro management, return to office with threats to send warning letters.

Kommunikation

Townhalls reflecting that management team is having no idea how to develop the company further. Unilateral feedback culture.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Deteriorating over time, management is creating an environment where you cannot trust anyone anymore. Put it different: loyalty is more important than skills, ideas, creativity. This impacts also promotions - not the most capable person is promoted, but the loyal ones - otherwise the new management team members wouldn't have any chance to get this kind of role.
With introduction of a grading system, some people are on a senior level overnight, without having the skills or experience. At the same time, others recognize that their work is not valued (e.g. developers).

Work-Life-Balance

Home office was the USP, with return to office, things change. Work life balance is distributed quite different between people, even within teams and departments: while one part of employees is doing almost nothing, others are drowning in work. If you're having a good performance, you'll even get more on your table.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

No support, no help, no trust. That's it. Managers are taking care of themselves only.

Interessante Aufgaben

No new strategy available, almost no interesting projects or product ideas. After the old CEO left the company nothing is moving forward and France is taking over control.

Only if you're part of the chosen ones.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

This is not a company anymore where you will feel welcomed if you pass a certain age.

Arbeitsbedingungen

New office building, but not anymore in a prime location in Munich.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Wages are not really competitive. No significant increases in the last years. With inflation running, employees are loosing no the real wage side.

Well, it's consumer finance, isn't it? If you go for it, don't complain that it is not glossy and shiny.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Only for chosen ones - internal trainings are not really good, company is not open to support professional/official certifications.
