In my personal experience the hard- and software stack is for the most parts outdated. e.g. slow network connection, no air condition, partially 22" low res displays.
Some guys using dell ultrabooks, but mainly classic desktop pc.
The height-adjustable desks are nice, therefore 2 stars.

During my time in the company i haven't encounterd a single product with an fair trade logo on it. In my point of view, environmental or social awareness isn't a very high priority.

Thank you very much for your helpful feedback.
It seems as if you worked at CONTENS a few years ago. We already started optimizing our office space, all PC workstations are equipped with dual displays (most of them 24“), the tech stack is quite modern (e.g. AWS, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Flutter,…) and there are more things to come.
The fair trade topic is an interesting point. Although we changed all free drinks for our team from plastic bottles to glas, reduced plastic and paper waste and reached a reduction of electricity consumption by 20% based on server virtualization no one yet asked for fair trade products in the past years. We will think about this welcome input.
Based on your English comments we assume you are one of our much valued expats. So you surely know that we helped our expats to find an apartment, to get along with German authorities, or provided loans to employees when needed. We don’t talk about that too much, but you are right: if someone can’t see social awareness, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
If you have further tips and suggestions, why don’t you visit us the next time you are around? If you want to help us to improve, it’s better to talk to each other. If not, remember this wise saying: “We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are.”
