My colleagues, the interesting work, the culture in the teams. I haven't seen a company where colleagues organize so many private events where they invite company colleagues (before corona). The leadership style and transparency of the new management had a big influence on Coya. It feel again we are working together as a big Coya family towards a clear vision. The output from all teams increased again and there are many good news again.

Last year there was a time when business was slow and atmosphere at a low. Layoffs took place, but also some good people and friends left the company then.

Office is nicely located, could be better. The new management could try to get some of the good people who left last year back to Coya.

There was a time of a mixed atmosphere after some changes in the company took place, but that turned out to be very positive. The new management is super empowering and keeps up a good mood and motivation. Today there is a way more transparent atmosphere than in the past. Today I clearly know where we are heading with Coya, what we are working towards and how I support this with my work.
Kommunikation
I like the open and transparent communication from the top and also between the teams. Nobody is hiding something and issues are openly discussed. Everybody can openly give his or her opinion.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Good connection between colleagues. Social gatherings and dinners are common within colleagues.
Work-Life-Balance
Quite good work life balance, at times it can get more intense when specific targets should be met on time. There can also be times where it's more relaxed again. The company is today absolutely focussed on the output, not on the time people are working, which I like.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Management is motivating their teams, giving clear focus and setting the targets together with their teams. I felt is was important for my manager that not just the company is developing well, but also I am learning and continously improving.
Interessante Aufgaben
Interesting work in the booming insurtech industry. I enjoy my tasks here, building up something new, often handle things the manual and easy startup way, as we were still developing. Due to the size of the overall company, it can be necessary to take over some other tasks once in a while, which can be very interesting or a bit boring.

Arbeitsbedingungen
Tech equipment is good, everybody can get a Mac or a Surface. The office is located in Berlin-Kreuzberg on 2 floors - however the top floor can become quite hot in the summer and the basement floor is rather dark.

Coyas image is still very positive when talking with friends. Due to the big investment rounds and famous investors Coya became quite famous, there were some mixed news in the past when business was slow, but currently there are a lot of positive mentionings again. This positive change is also in line with the atmosphere internally.

Various trainings are being offered as well as regular feedback talks to improve. There is a culture of continous learning.
