Flexibile
Value the employees
Good to the outside world, inside the problems are growing and employees motivation is very low
Management seems to be the ones caring the least about the topic (lots of flying inner Europe) and leave it the sustainability manager to keep the facade of a green company
Its a boys club, also when looking at most of recent promotions.
Officially no salary increases due to finance situation. But some contriversial hiring for which money is available.
Terrible. Classic example of a company with potential and talented people, but that won’t progress because of the insincerity and incompetence of the management team. People are not valued. Various examples of layoffs that are laughed at by management or employees that are put in a very bad daylight after they have left and cannot defend themselves anymore. Very uncomfortable to witness.
Maybe if you only agree with management and don’t speak up about anything, but even then there is no career opportunity because the company doesn’t have any money and is on the verge of going bankrupt.
Greenwashing is not an issue as long as it generates money.
Have a look at who holds the top positions in the company and judge for yourself.
So long management believes their own bs there's little hope.
Two rounds of layoffs in six months. After the first round "to save money", management created a new C-level position. Of course, they were unaffected by the second round of layoffs, unlike other key staff. Speaking of the second layoff round, it was poorly managed and unnecessarily cut short that proper handovers were near impossible.
Strict setting of ones own boundary is required, then it is okay.
Upon questioning to fly 4 people to the COP in Dubai, management commented "We're doing so much good, that the effect is negligible". And there's more events that people are traveling to, which could easily be held via video conference. So much for a "we are saving the world from climate change" startup.
Until recently there was no career development path.
In order to get access to training, one had to follow a convoluted and poorly documented process or be friends with the right people.
Within each department and team people have their backs.
They don't exist. It's a "young dynamic startup".
Direct managers are usually very approachable.
Senior management is a different story, though.
So many meetings. One can easily get by a day without getting anything done.
All-hands meetings are the management's tool of distributing their view on the world. Critical questions not welcomed.
Salary was okay. Besides that, there's been the occasional company events. Other benefits (like D-Ticket) had been promised to implement upon reaching goals. Those goals were never reached.
Routine on the one hand, on the other hand due to lack of strategy and meaningful planning, everything suddenly becomes urgent.
A lot of layoffs in the last 6 months, which can mainly due to incredible bad budget management and strategic decisions of the leadership.
Peoples are flying around the world for meetings that could probably be done with an 2h teams call. The numbers about the allegedly saved CO2 of the product seem to be pretty random.
Colleagues usually have each others back.
No benefits beside the salary. Salaries are not coupled to performance.
The female colleagues complained about pay gaps which is really weak for a company claiming equality and respect as one of the company pillars
Everything feels unorganised. Besides, colleagues are very approachable.
Edit: Lately, lots of people have been laid off. Atmosphere probably, took a big hit.
From the outside, everything's shiny.
Home office has its advantages and disadvantages when it comes to work-life balance. It suffers if you don't take care of it yourself. However, the company does not really support people NOT to work outside "business hours", rather the opposite.
For a company that claims to be sustainable there is a lot of room for improvement.
There is no clear path: If one does not bring up the topic, employees are not approached regarding this topic.
Overall good.
As long as one is capable of working independently they will have a good time.
Pro: Home office is possible up to 100% remote. The company provides office space, which is nice.
Kind of the classic problem: Some information are not passed on accordingly and/or in timely fashion, which leads to confusion and sometimes even frustration.
Salary isn't paid equally. If you bargain well during your interview you might get a better pay if not you are screwed, because afterwards there's no chance for improvements. And there are basically no benefits other then salary.
The people and culture department is aware of the challenges related to (gender) equality. They tell that they are approaching topics like gender pay gap and gender parity but nothing really happens.
Not in a slightest.
Uncertain working atmosphere. Long-term employees are laid off for no reason. Apparently for budgetary reasons. Strangely enough, the managers and heads all keep their jobs, even though they probably earn the most.
One of the founders is on the plane every week, but wearing a hoodie about the climate crisis all the time. Does that fit together?
Active bullying by management is part of this company. Completely antisocial.
Without leadership in a company, there can be no career. Promotion is only possible for individuals who do not disagree with management.
There are no opportunities for further training. As soon as it costs money, it is rejected 99.9% of the time.
Gossip spreaded within Teams. But Teams are working in silos.
Disappointing. No structure and no leadership.
There is no honest communication.
Boring by now. Product development no longer exists.
One of the best working environments I have experienced so far
very respected and valued
open and transparent communication, structured feedback processes.
Flexibility, friendliness of almost all colleagues, great vision, fair pay
More women in leadership roles, more typical perks (even small ones) esp also for colleagues outside of Berlin who cant use the office with free coffee, better alignment within mgmt for clear top-own communication
No clear paths known or shown
Fair pay but no other perks, which is rare for start-ups
Change from Start-up to scale-up comes with challenges. Communication from Managament could improve
The team is young and motivated to fight climate change. In the new offices is a great startup atmosphere.
A little less vacation days, than I‘m used to have, but no overwhelming workload.
At this point no subsidies for further education but they are planned
Salary is good for a startup but at this point subsidies for social benefits.
Ecolytiq lives it with heart and soul.
They often ask for feedback and are open to adapt new ideas -> Startup in the making
So verdient kununu Geld.
