First Interview (via video call): We’ll get to know each other and discuss the position and your past experiences. The key conditions will be discussed.
Coding Challenge: If you’re applying for a role in software development, after the first interview, you’ll receive access to a "take-home" coding challenge.
Technical Interview (via video call): We’ll provide you with more background information about envelio and the role. Then we’ll conduct a technical interview where we’ll ask you subject-specific questions. You’ll also complete a small task that gives you insight into an authentic work situation. This is also your chance to ask any remaining questions.
Personal & Cultural Fit Interview (preferably in-office): This interview focuses on teamwork, personal work needs, and mutual expectations. You’ll meet another team member and get a first-hand impression of our work environment.

How can I prepare for the interviews?
First Interview: Carefully read the job posting. Consider what experiences and skills you bring to the role and incorporate these points into your introduction during the interview. What motivated you to apply? Also, think about your general conditions, such as the earliest possible start date, preferred weekly hours, and salary expectations.
Technical Interview: Prepare for technical questions during this interview. Focus on the key topics relevant to the position. It might help to create a mind map or take notes. What examples from your past professional or life experiences can you share to demonstrate your technical suitability?

How does the Coding Challenge work?
In the first step, we’ll ask you to sign our Data Protection Sheet. After that, you’ll receive access to a “readme” document with all the essential information about the challenge. The challenge is generally open for five working days, giving you flexibility in how you manage your time. On average, it takes about two hours to complete, but this can vary depending on your experience level. What’s more important is that you enjoy solving the challenge and approach it in your own way.
What is envelio's dress code?
Come to the video interview or the office dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable. Whether it’s barefoot shoes or sneakers, a shirt or a hoodie, we don’t have a dress code. What unites us is not how we dress but our shared enthusiasm for accelerating the energy transition.
Should I use the first name or Mr./Ms. during the application process?
No matter who you speak with, we all address each other informally using the first name and we’re happy if you do the same. This applies from the very first interaction. Also you are welcome to share your pronouns in the application form.
When will I receive feedback on my interview?
We aim to provide you with feedback as quickly as possible. If you haven't heard from us within a week, feel free to reach out and ask for an update.

Location
All employees are free to choose their workplace location within Germany. At our Cologne site, we have a modern office in Lindenthal. We work in an open office concept within a former factory hall. Meeting rooms like the "Jungle" and the "Savannah" facilitate hybrid working. Additionally, there are quiet spaces for focused work or confidential conversations. On sunny days, our outdoor terrace is a popular spot.

Man hat absolute Flexibilität von wo aus man arbeiten möchte. Man wird schon am ersten Tag super aufgenommen von allen und fühlt sich direkt zugehörig. Diese Unterstützung ermöglicht es mir, meine Karriere voranzutreiben und stets auf dem neuesten Stand zu bleiben.
Man muss sich selber kümmern, aber dann wird man sehr gut unterstützt und alles wird möglich gemacht. Meiner Meinung nach sehr fair. Ich finde Eigeninitiative bei der eigenen Weiterbildung ist nicht zu viel verlangt.
