Open communication, mutual respect, and supportive teamwork
We have flexible working hours so that you can always combine work, hobbies and family life.
The people with leading functions are very collegial and empathetic who always encourage the respective team and colleagues on a professional level.
The tasks are always exciting because the questions you are working on are always new. You work on the latest regulatory crypto developments.
Finoa is a dynamic, fun company
Many smart people to work with, which makes it an enjoyable workplace
Ambitous drive to innovate and foster a new industry
Very interesting business model
The growth stage of the company and the speed it requires make it sometimes hectic to deal with.
Loads of pressure, whenever something goes wrong you end up receiving blame even though you already do 150% of what any normal FTE would do.
Too much work, only the tech team does events.
At least trash is separated
Some people really went the extra, extra mile. Unfortunately, you experience those colleagues leaving now.
The founders are simply not behaving in an okay way. There is too much pressure, questions for prioritization of tasks (since it is too much) are rather met with blame (then work harder) then understanding.
Simply not okay. If I were to define it in three words it would be: Pressure, blame & founder's-vanity
You don't really know what is going on but it feels like there is no transparent communication from the founders.
Pay is okay, slightly below market
All diverse colleagues left, negative comments from one of the founders are happening daily. For example, he explicitly forbid any celebration of the international women's day
Interesting opportunity to see loads of topics, unfortunately it is quite manual and old-school
acknowledge your limitations and focus on becoming more relatable. Instead of delivering speeches at conferences all the times and with an air of self-importance, it's important to realize that you are not the next Steve Jobs. A key area to improve upon is developing a leadership, which is currently lacking completely.
Voicing concerns leads to empty promises, no real change. Arrogance and manipulation prevail at the top, while mediocre middle management struggles with founders. Sexist behaviors are common among higher-ups. No clear product vision, employees lack respect and recognition. The current management lacks experience, feigning care for employees.
Striving for greater humility and honesty is crucial. It's essential that the founders focus on addressing their ego problems and start treating everyone with fairness. The lack of accountability within the top management is evident and needs attention.
The atmosphere here isn't great. The Founders can be really rude, and they often say things that are offensive or disrespectful towards others. If you dare to let them know that you're not happy and are thinking about quitting, they treat you like you don't exist anymore.
There's really no balance between work and personal life. It seems like the founders are the only ones who get to enjoy that balance. The rest of us end up overworked, and any changes to improve the situation only happen after things have already gone wrong.
P.S.: Would you ever want to work for a company where the founder is hardly around (maybe they live somewhere else), but they don't like anyone else to do the same? Or where the founders are more interested in hiring an executive assistant for themselves instead of getting their hands dirty?
there's been a consistent pattern of favoring external hires over nurturing internal talents, which has left a significant negative impact. When it comes to the founders, your skills and performance don't seem to hold as much weight; rather than promoting from within, they often seem to develop a preference for external candidates. It's noticeable that this preference tends to extend towards individuals with ties to McKinsey or WHU, or those who share a personal connection with the founders.
Most people here are nice, but the Directors and higher-ups tend to be the kind of leaders who always agree with EVERYTHING and will do whatever it takes to make the founders happy.
Avoid getting involved with the founders. They'll be friendly only as long as they need you, but after that, you're off their radar.
The middle management is doing well. Unfortunately, many skilled individuals were let go, and the leadership roles were filled with less capable people. The founders are very resistant to being questioned or receiving criticism.
If a list of the worst workplaces were created, this one could easily secure a top spot.
This company has a habit of twisting information around (it could become a case study in business schools). When you have 1:1 with Directors and Founders, they're secretly trying to learn things from you. Later on, they might use what they learned to work against you as soon as they can. There is zero trust in general
I'm quite certain the founders don't grasp the concept of equality. They lack a true understanding of its essence. How can we expect fairness from individuals who see themselves as superior, oblivious to the harm they cause and often socially awkward?
There are some interesting projects, really depends on your team
Please do not persuade people to quite their job and work for you, if you can not effort it. A lot of people were fired and when you look back, all of them had a stable job.
Please find sponsors, money and then hire people. As a company you are not doing well, please accept it. :)
the company was doing bad and I had always a feeling that I will be fired. and it happened :)
naja
they dont have experienced colleagues
ego, no managerial experience, not open for the innovation, trying to implement the things from their former companies.
no benefits, pure salary. they try to survive so no time for benefits or money
no, just words
Siloed teams, tech-driven company.
After the layoffs and the crypto crash its image suffered alot.
Budget and headcounts were cut, but not the workload.
No mentorship opportunities, no learning and development budgets.
They are supportive but rarely knowledgeable (a lot of juniors), so not much opportunity to learn from others.
Very poor communication regarding strategy and long-term objectives. More time is spent resolving issues than actually innovating.
Women and minorities are underrepresented. Founders are indifferent to the topic and often treat non-managerial employees with superiority.
