Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

One of the standout features of my time at the company was the fantastic team members. Additionally, the opportunity to receive free beauty products was great.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Management issues, communication problems, feedback & support, inequality issues, salary concers, company image vs. reality, lack of career growth opportunities.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Enhance Management Competence: It’s crucial to improve the evaluation process for identifying suitable candidates for team lead positions. This should include assessing various factors such as relevant work experience, leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and more.

Revise Salary Structure: The current annual increase of nearly nothing (e.g. 3%) falls short of addressing inflation and feels inadequate, leaving employees feeling undervalued and looking for new jobs.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The overall work environment felt toxic at times. With a high-pressure atmosphere and unrealistic expectations, it was challenging to maintain a healthy motivation for the job. This led to increased stress levels and contributed to a culture that often felt unsupportive.

Kommunikation

They try to communicate openly including endless slack channels, but one can feel that many things are unspoken and held against one another.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Despite these challenges, the support from my colleagues was one of the few bright spots in my experience at Flaconi. Team members were always willing to lend a helping hand, share knowledge, and provide encouragement. This camaraderie made the tough days more manageable and demonstrated the potential for a collaborative culture.

Work-Life-Balance

On a more positive note, the work-life balance was acceptable, allowing for a hybrid work model. We had the flexibility to work from home three days a week and were expected to be in the office twice a week. This arrangement was beneficial, providing some degree of autonomy in managing our schedules.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

One of the major challenges I encountered was the inadequate management within the company. Some managers displayed a lack of respect towards their team members, while others seemed completely disconnected and incompetent from the actual responsibilities of their roles, often jumping to unrealistic conclusions. Effective leadership is essential for fostering a positive work environment, and unfortunately, that is lacking here.

Interessante Aufgaben

While there were moments when I engaged in interesting projects, the majority of my responsibilities involved an overwhelming amount of operational day-to-day tasks. This left little room for creativity and strategic thinking.

Gleichberechtigung

Despite the company’s loud rhetoric about equality and female empowerment, my experience suggested a disconnect between these values and their implementation. There were instances where it felt like my contributions were undervalued, highlighting a gap between the ideals promoted and the reality within the organization. My recommendation: Less talking, more doing.

Unfortunately, the salary structure at Flaconi is not competitive. Employees often find themselves stuck at the lowest end of the pay band, especially if they are not closely connected with upper management. This practice creates a sense of frustration and devaluation among many team members.

While Flaconi has a flashy and appealing public image, largely due to effective PR efforts, the reality within the company tells a different story. Conversations with employees reveal that, beneath the surface, significant issues persist that undermine the positive facade. In that case: Beauty on the outside, not inside.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Not much room for growth, it's a good stepping stone to move on from as soon as a better offer comes flying in.

First of all, we are very pleased to read that you especially appreciate the team spirit among your colleagues, the hybrid working model and other company benefits at flaconi. Of course, we can also see from your review that there are things that you feel could be improved.

With our salary bands, we offer a very transparent salary structure at flaconi. We actively evaluate them on a regular basis to ensure that they are fair and in line with market standards. We therefore use official reports and tools such as e.g. Mercer. These salary bands are also considered for our annual performance dialogues, which are also linked to salary increases and promotions.

We are also very sorry to hear that you have found the work environment challenging at times. At flaconi, we are very committed to creating a supportive and positive company culture where every team member feels seen, heard and valued. Therefore, our leadership standards and corporate values, such as #trustinpeople, guide our day-to-day work. We organize various initiatives and measures to make them truly tangible for everyone, such as e.g. our own value days or leadership training sessions. It is very unfortunate to hear that you have had a different experience here and that the results of these measurements have not yet reached you.
