In my case, I could always rely on open communication and a very sympathetic attitude towards the employees. There was no inappropriate pressure from top to bottom.

Good mix of tasks, good balance between desk and lab (cleanroom) - but this strongly depends on the working position. Really cool and innovative research topics.

I do not know of any cases where gender played a roll

Sometimes a bit noisy in the open-plan office. This will be better once the new office building is built.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salary is according to TVöD Bund tables, so of course less than in industry, but plenty enough for a good living. And it will rise automatically with time, no need for negotiations.

If you request further trainings, you can get it, but it requires to be proactive and persistent
