Not a bad employer, but Violates Federal Labour laws
Verbesserungsvorschläge
1. Pay fairly and accordingly without violating laws.
2. Improve HR services. Talking with random persons on phone and then acting solely based on that information puts all liability on me. Furthermore, some talent attraction managers are unfriendly and unhelpful.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Nothing too bad, it’s just that working in cubicles with so many people in a room is so 90s.
Kommunikation
Everything is communicated in both English and German, so it’s great from that pov.
Work-Life-Balance
We are understaffed and I am forced to work more than 20 hours/week even during exam phase. There’s so much work that it’s not possible to do it without doing overtime. If you take vacation, the work piles up and you have to do significantly more work in following weeks.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I have a supervisor, and a legal manager. The duo acts like a good cop bad cop. They create in atmosphere where you fear taking a vacation.
Interessante Aufgaben
At least for working students, the work is monotonous and repetitive.
Gleichberechtigung
There’s apparent equality within the departments, but even then native German speakers are prioritised and preferred for a full time position.
Since, a lot of benefits depend on the manager, it’s very much likely that someone is another department doing a very similar job might have significantly more benefits.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
For working students the salary is low compared to other companies in the surrounding region.
As per Federal Labour court, Being a working student is a just a category for social security and we should be entitled to all benefits temporary employees get such as bonus, T-Zug Geld, annual increments. But, unfortunately, Infineon is in a violation of that and only pays a fixed salary to students without any benefits. We also do not receive inflation bonuses either.
Collective agreements with IG Metall are only selectively applied for working students.
There are other companies, which are situated in places better connected by public transport and pays student with all these stated benefits. ~ Dspace for example pays 19 euros/hour and on top of that an inflation bonus, and Gym membership.

Companies tries to project a green image, but does very little towards corporate social responsibility.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There’s no possibility to transition from working student to a full time job. I have worked here for over 18 months as a student, and yet I wouldn’t be considered for a full time position afterwards. I have seen it with my other colleagues, and all of them have to apply in other companies for a full time position afterwards.
Working students(especially foreigners) are essentially used a cheap labour, with no efforts/intentions of hiring them as full time employees.
