The social incompetence.
Dealing with employees is partly totally wrong and inappropriate. Employees are fired because there is no money, reasons then are invented.
If the employees dare to take legal action, the company will even pull this off. The main thing is to harm the ex-employees.
Even long-standing colleagues are addressed in a tone that is not at all appropriate and sometimes even insulted.
When employees have concerns that the management is not interested in, they are simply ignored and dismissed.
That's a pitty and a shame.
The colleagues are all super nice and talented which would be a perfect basis. The cohesion among each other is all the greater due to the unfair leadership. At least many beautiful friendships are made there, because everyone somehow ticks the same way.
I learned a lot here.
But most of all, how not to do it and how not to deal with people and employees.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Showing empathy for employees would be a good first start. Everything is give and take.
Don't just assume that the employees want to harm the company.
With small deeds and gestures much can be given to the workers which would be greatly appreciate by them and doesn't hurt the company.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Due to the bad reputation of the company, there are already some kind of bad vibes right at the start of the new job. Over time, you talk about it with your colleagues and get annoyed together.

Kommunikation

Employees are left more or less in the dark. At times there was a monthly information meeting, which was discontinued.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Colleagues are nice and talented. Due to the bad management, a great cohesion develops among each other. Great friendships were formed here.

Work-Life-Balance

A good work-life balance is widely advertised. But the reality looks different.
A reduction in hours was put off for 2 years. A new collegue with fewer hours had to be hired first so that it was also possible for employees who were already part of the company. Even then only through the greatest begging.
Unfortunately, working from home is also very unfairly distributed depending on the department. A virus had to do its part first to make this even possible.

It's the very last.
However, this is only regarding the top level.
Team leaders have been hard working and capable, always listening and trying to keep top management away from employees. Unfortunately, they couldn't always succeed.
The top level unfortunately spoke with disrespect and decency to the staff and so did their actions.
Unfortunately, often ignorant, condescending and snippy.
Anything but professional.

Interessante Aufgaben

Tasks could be interesting.
However, the management would like to decide everything themselves instead of handing over responsibility to the specialists who have Studie the area.

Unfortunately, there quite some differences in salary and vacation days among employees, although it is repeatedly emphasized that everyone is treated equally.
It is even explicitly pointed out that it is not allowed to talk to colleagues about the general conditions.
Too bad.That demotivates. Especially, when the system displays the vacation days of co-workers.

Apparently, such colleagues are treated okay. If you have been with the company for a long time, you get an extra day or two of vacation and the salary seems to be okay. After all, it is a long way to get there that can only be achieved through time and not through effort.

Areas where it is necessary are well equipped. Others, on the other hand, have a great lack of modern devices and some people even work with private devices because no money should be spent.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

After all, more value is placed on environmental awareness or at least keeping up appearances than on social awareness.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Salary is below average and there is no opportunity for a bigger salary increase or even advancement of a job position.

Outdooractive is already well known in the Allgäu for its bad reputation as an employer and so far not a single former employee has said a good word about the company's management.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Neither courses nor further training are made possible. Not even online course are available.
There are no opportunities for advancement in any ways at all. Not even more experienced co-workers since everyone leaves or gets fired.

Hello and thank you for your review. Honestly, when I read your review, I wondered if what you were reviewing was really Outdooractive and if you had actually worked with us for the last few years. I understood that you liked your colleagues in the team and that you could not understand some management decisions or that you basically did not agree with the management. Yes, we have a great product that is copied by the competition, that's why we are pioneers. Yes, the tasks are exciting and varied. Yes, we have great employees and teams who constantly develop Outdooractive and make it a great place to work. Yes, our communication is a weak point, which we are constantly working on and where we are in the process of improving. Nevertheless: All in all, there are so many inconsistencies and untruths in your assessment that I would like to go into some points in more detail:

Ideas and suggestions from our employees are not ignored, but are seen and often implemented by management. At the professional level, responsibilities are taken over by specialized colleagues and everyone is expected to be creative and valued. We are aware of our social responsibility and try to fulfil it in the best possible way. Equal treatment and fairness are particularly important to us. In terms of pay, we are not below average, where we were a few years ago, but rather "middle class", and there are also constant developments according to the performance principle. There is also no unequal treatment in terms of vacation days entitlement. (And it is simply not true that colleagues' entitlements are openly visible in the system.) Our monthly information meeting (all-hands meeting) has also taken place every month without interruption since its inception. If you missed one, you could have watched the recording on the intranet.
I have been with Outdooractive for more than 2.5 years and there have definitely been no dismissals during this period due to a lack of liquidity or similar. This is simply an untruth and I cannot explain how you come up with such a claim. We follow the principle of performance and efficiency when it comes to cancellations (and also recruitment). I find it difficult that you call reasons "invented" just because they are inconvenient for you. Last but not least: It is simply not true that someone applied for a reduction in working hours and was stalled for two years and had to beg for it. I myself have personally and quickly processed all applications in the past 2.5 years, so your case is not known to me.

It is a real pity that we could not offer you the working environment in which you could develop and grow. I wish you with all my heart that you will find this elsewhere! (I mean that without sarcasm or irony.) Good luck on your new way in life! Many greetings,
