If you're brown-nosing skills are better than your actual performance then PUMA is the right place for you. If you're doing great at your position there will be no appreciation & recognition whatsoever - let alone a salary increase. PUMA claims to pay fairly & the compensation is competitive, in fact its nowhere near Adidas or other organizations in the area. However if you would like to change positions internally (officially they always encourage people to do so and claim they would be supportive) your managers will find out (even though there is a confidentiality policy) and badmouth you to make you stay in their team & do the work for them. They make the effort to just ruin any opportunity for you, they don't realize how important it is to keep great staff in the organization. This only leads to the result that people quit essentially & pursue an opportunity outside of PUMA where they are appreciated. But don't worry about the leadership teams, the organization will protect their toxic & incapable managers at all costs. You can't rely on HR and/or works council either, they don't have your interests at heart - no matter how poorly & unfair you've been treated. What is appreciated is a kiss-ass mentality rather than actual performance & expertise. Some people get lured with promotions if they don't talk to teammates anymore who don't align with this 'culture'. If you're more skilled & experienced than your manager you better keep it to yourself. Speaking up about any matter (process updates, speed of implementation, new briefing process, internal transparency & alignment) or mentioning any fair comments will lead to major backlash. My performance went down drastically after speaking up about potential ways of improvement. You better not feedback honestly about your managers performance in the 'anonymous' employee survey, it will be brought up against you & even the anonymous feedback from your teammates will be shared with you openly.
Employees are also rated based on how they look in meetings or if someone raised an eyebrow... there will be even comments about your food choices & your outfits. Some managers are openly handing 'cooler' projects to employees who they think have the better/more on trend style & therefore deserve it.
Another 'highlight' in the BU is the infamous 'crying session' at the end of every sportstyle app offsite. The wrap up session is used to force employees at the end of the year (usually a time where people can get emotional easily, especially when for away from home looking forward to the holidays) to sit in a circle and tell everyone about your PERSONAL highlight/lowlight of the year.. ideally people open up and cry about sth in front of others that is very personal and non-work related... this is weirdly appreciated by leadership teams as is shows commitment & openness - puma family seems like a cult really. Speaking of PUMA Family - being part of it means that roles aren't clearly defined, leadership can't be held accountable & employees are exploited for their time and their efforts & boundaries are not respected whatsoever! I've experienced nothing but nepotism, gaslighting & guilt thrive.
I can't recommend this employer to anyone who is passionate about their career & the industry, willing to grow & excel in their career.
You will be exploited and even if you would like to change within the organization the leadership team will ruin it for you.
I have already handed in my notice & can't wait for my last day to come.
