Zuwenig!
They paid on time.
Hostile environment, low salary, and discrimination. They haven't arrived in Germany yet.
Implement serious anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and anti-sexual harassment policies, and provide multicultural and basic German law training, mainly for Korean managers.
It depends on the team, but in my experience, teams led by Koreans have a terrible work environment. Situations range from excessive workload and low quality to comments about skin color, weight, and unnecessary remarks about age and nationality
The industry is aware of the company's bad reputation. I only have to say I worked at Q-Energy to notice it in others—its image is not good.
I never received any training (Weiterbildung), and advancing in your career is not easy. If you work overtime and don’t complain, maybe you’ll make it.
Below industry standards, with differentiated treatment for non-Korean, non-German, and non-European employees.
The company is in renewables, but in reality, there is no environmental awareness. There is no social awareness either—the first social interaction the company has is with its employees, and honestly, it treats them poorly.
Most of the colleagues are nice; however, working in such an environment leaves everyone in a bad mood, leading to unnecessary conflicts.
Senior Korean colleagues must be 'respected,' which means they don’t greet others, you shouldn’t contradict your Korean supervisor, you must stay in your place, and remain silent.
My supervisor's behavior was very unpleasant. There were threats towards people, comments about how someone had acted in a certain way and that they no longer worked at the company. Unnecessary remarks about skin color—how light or dark it was. They had no knowledge of German laws, nothing about vacation policies or maternity leave, and were extremely disorganized. This had a very negative impact on the team, leading to extremely high turnover.
OK.
Unfortunately, there is no communication about the company's plans, so everything reaches the teams late, and they have to execute under pressure. When I asked another supervisor, they told me the plan had been communicated months ago. Korean leadership doesn't like to hear negative feedback. You have to 'respect' your seniors, which means agreeing to everything and keeping any comments that could 'trigger' your supervisor or disrupt 'harmony' to yourself.
The treatment is unequal; there is almost no female representation in leadership positions. The difference is noticeable between men and women, as well as between Koreans, Germans, Europeans, and non-Europeans.
There are extremely boring tasks 80% of the time, and very interesting ones (complex and with ridiculous deadlines) 20% of the time.
Everyone is entitled and rude, little cooperation between co workers
Terrible, you make the job of two people and naturally when you come from vacation you have a significant amount of tasks
Almost none
Little cooperation, collages are rude and they don't know what they are doing
No trust in their team
Old laptops, office design is outdated, although the kitchen has everything you need to make good use of it
Little communication from upper management
Management favors mostly Korean males
To know different cultures
10 years to upgrade your position.
The salaries are lower compared to the industry standards and the future carrier options are very limited.
Nice work life balance, and work environment very international + colleagues are very helpful and friendly.
Bosses technically skilled and natural leaders
No career growth or plan provided
Salary is below the market standards
Company still implementing educational benefits for the workers
Come up with a career's plan to align expectations with the employees and also offer more education benefnits as language learning or specific for their own department's working field.
Das Unternehmen ist immer noch wenig bekannt.
great colleagues, international environment, interesting & challenging topics and projects
More transparent communication by the management
Very international; working with other sites in Europe; working for renewable energy, interesting tasks, learning about other cultures.
Often time pressure, more training
I like the very international group that works together here. Many nationalities. In the team I work, atmosphere is good. Working culture between Korean staff and more European staff is different and that can be challenging, but it's also interesting.
Many external people don't know company.
2 days mobile working possible and trust-based working time.
There should be more training.
Salaries are market standard.
Workin in renewables - good. But we could do more social activity.
In my team good.
No issues
In my case good. Again, depends on superior.
Nice offices at Südkreuz.
It clearly improved in 2024 with the new CEO. Internal communication increased for leaders and employees. But I think sometimes it also depends on the superior, if the messages reach you.
More females and female leaders would be good. Of course we have many Korean managers, but maybe normal in a Korean owner company.
We work for renewables. That gives me meanginfulness. I personally like my tasks and I always get a new challenge.
There is an imbalance in work allocation and work ethic, leading a specific group of people to constanly work overtime to cover tasks or mistakes that others are supposed to handle. This naturally puts them in a situation with an extremely poor qualify of work-life balance. But it seems that no one cares about this discrimination and is instead focused on hunting down scapegoats and making them fixing problems again.
