Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Not much, to be honest. If you are an external contractor. You will earn very well.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The management is doing a piss poor job. All decisions are made top-down without any consideration for the workers at the bottom of the rung. Betriebsrat is in the pocket of management.
The IT division is turning into a body shop. Hiring foreigners that have just landed in the country, who have no idea of their employee rights in Germany and making them work long hours and weekends. It is definitely not a good look for a company already profiting off wars.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Where to start? Tabula rasa. Redefine management and company policies. Be transparent about projects and handling.
Kommunikation
Poor. Meetings are often scheduled and canceled in the last minute.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues can be nice but beware of many that will not hesitate to dump on your head to get a promotion or bonus. At Rheinmetall, the political culture is very very toxic.
Work-Life-Balance
You are expected to work long hours without compensation. Whether you are T or AT doesn't matter.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Extreme top-down management. Do as I say, not as I do. Flat hierarchy? Never ever at Rheinmetall.
Interessante Aufgaben
Sometimes, depends on how good you are with your boss and your boss' boss. Then you can expect interesting tasks.
Gleichberechtigung
Lots of foreigners are being hired to the IT division. Mostly from India, who have no clue that they are being low balled.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salary is only slightly above average. Different if you know the boss or the top management
Karriere/Weiterbildung
No prospects of advancement. Especially if you are a good worker.
