It is really bad if the canteen is the most often mentioned aspect here. Really sad.

- Scary Christmas parties with good food only for management, and god's blessings.
- Hidden networks of people sticking together, blocking any change.
- Big growth expectations, but with little invest
- Many managers live theis status symbols. Like it is very important to these people where they park their car, and what kind of company car they are driving.

Top management to listen to the people, but if you do, do not claim ideas being your own idea.
Do not focus so much on status symbols, get away from the military like organisation, try to be more modern (and by writing this I do not mean home office, of course), try to hand over more responsibility to the people, or even the middle management (horrible RACI regulations)
Kommunikation
You need a good link to the local gossip to know what is going on
