Arbeitsatmosphäre
The work atmosphere is very pleasant, and flexibility is achieved. Some colleagues work 100% remotely, others have a hybrid schedule, and some go to the office daily. As long as you have a stable internet connection, you are in control of your workspace.
As a result, the workday consists of periods of individual work and team meetings. I believe the team has learned to be efficient in meetings; when to send an email, hold a 25-minute meeting, communicate important messages via chat, and schedule 1-2 hours online workshops for effective collaboration.
The company hosts in-person events, roughly two per quarter, which allows us to interact face-to-face and function effectively in our remote day-to-day work.
We all participate in a general chat where everyone has the right to communicate and express themselves. I find this very effective for fostering a healthy working atmosphere.
Kommunikation
SECJUR is improving the communication daily, though it can sometimes be challenging to discern what and how information should be communicated to the entire organization. The company has many young people who are learning how to be leaders, and that's part of the journey.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
If you want to work at a startup, you must understand that it's a rollercoaster; if there’s no ups and downs, it’s not a startup. The company experienced a downturn a year ago, and there was no clearer proof of how we worked as a team to climb back up. The team really do team-work.
Work-Life-Balance
I dont believe in this criteria, it is very controversial, but I’m giving 5 stars to express that in a startup, the work is never truly finished as you’re always building something. If it’s already built, it’s no longer a startup, and it often requires giving an ‘extra.’
However, I want to highlight two points that I believe SECJUR has achieved:
1.-Unlike other startups, we have a dedicated People & Culture responsible who continuously monitors employees' mental health and ensures their well-being and the resolution of internal conflicts.
2.-SECJUR has genuinely provided flexibility. As the CEO once told me, ‘If you need to rest, take a vacation and rest; disconnect, DO IT!’ The company always finds a way to cover for colleagues and keep operations running. Even in the more challenging times.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The management team has had its challenging moments, but I believe that today, the managers not only have rolled up their sleeves and tackled the hard and dirty work but are also engaged in continuous learning which makes it better for the colleagues ther are leading.
Interessante Aufgaben
What could be more interesting than building something from scratch?
There’s certainly a lot of operational work involved.
However, there is always creative work as well, since we’re constantly looking for ways to streamline processes and improve metrics. If you have an idea, you really have a group of managers here who will listen to you and give you the opportunity to put it into practice.
Moreover, there is always room for you to find your own way to do the job, as long as the results meet expectations.
