Our impact feels real: Together as a team, we truly fight to make the supply chain more efficient every day. Seeing how we find a second home for food at processing companies, in the wholesale world and at NGOs is so thrilling for everybody that I'd really say I've never been working with such a highly motivated team before. I learn something new in this interdisciplinary environment every day. And along the challenge, we still come together for fun activities with the team very often at SPRK lunches, afterwork sessions on our amazing rooftop and company parties.

Motivation is high and you'll be surrounded by skilled colleagues who are always happy to help. Clearly, you should be aware that the atmosphere is dynamic as we're in a growth phase, not every challenge is easy to tackle and you'll only be successful with a hands on mentality.
Kommunikation
While this is commonly one of the most criticized topics in any company, I truly think SPRK is so process-oriented that communication goes quite well.

Work-Life-Balance
While several days of home office per week are totally fine within most departments, home office means Berlin. Work from anywhere is not a general SPRK benefit yet. Nontheless, the team's wish to make SPRK's remote policy easier seems to be recognised more and more.

Gleichberechtigung
The team is getting more international every month and SPRK's founder & CEO truly celebrates this diversity. As the traditional food business has always been a man's world, the fact that there is currently no woman in a Head of position or clear leadership role seems to come naturally, but is nonetheless not the best flagship for an impact startup like us. It may be a bit worrying for female talents thinking about joining SPRK: At least I personally think I would have felt this way if the management team had looked like it does when I started.
Nonetheless, I'm sure it's not a systemic problem: In contrast to the status quo in many companies, SPRK managed to build a tech team with a considerably high number of women.
