Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I definitely got the impression that they take advantage of immigrant workers' lack of knowledge when it comes to German labor laws, especially in the wake of being made redundant.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Listen to your employees. Stop paying lip service by running pulse-checks and pretending you actually care. DO something. In the long run, you're only ruining your own chances of staying afloat. You are wasting the creativity and loyalty of your staff.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The people are one of the few good things about this company. By and large, everyone is helpful, friendly, creative, and a joy to work with. They're the only aspect that kept me working with the company as long as I did.

Kommunikation

Endless pulse-checks, feedback talks, and meetings are held but nothing ever comes of them. Upper management doesn't seem to care at all about what the workforce has to say, even when they're pointing out issues that directly affect the company's earnings and future. Most of the time it seems like they're content to stick their fingers in their ears and pretend everything is fine. Dozens of jobs could have been saved if they actually listened to the input of their employees and took action. Instead, they were too stubborn, or ignorant, or both.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Superiors will boast about how well the company is doing, how revenues are increasing every month...and then turn around and fire half the company. They totally lack transparency, and lead everyone into believing their jobs are secure and the company is profitable, only to completely contradict themselves a few weeks later. This wasn't a one-time occurrence. It's a pattern of behavior that keeps repeating. The company will have no future if this continues.

Interessante Aufgaben

Work is mostly repetitive. Plenty of talented, creative people being wasted doing the same tasks over and over and over. Eventually quality slips because everyone is so bored and disillusioned.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Basically no benefits. No German lessons, no train passes, none of the usual benefits you expect from start-ups in this city.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Despite telling employees that they're keen to help them develop their careers, they don't do much to make this a reality. Employees seem happy to learn and take on work outside their own roles, but nothing is given to them. Again, lots of meetings about how to help people grow professionally, but never any action.
