Drop the buzzword-bingo, check your egos, learn to appreciate real values instead of superficial self-representation and toxic hustle culture. That‘s so last century.

I felt very unappreciated and pressured as an employee even though my work and skills had been acknowledged.

On a positive note: You could ask for feedback frequently. The negative side: this availability was also tied to micro-management.

If they like you they praise you to the skies. If they don‘t - well, they will make you feel it. Unprofessional behavior leading to a toxic, unwelcoming atmosphere.

Work-Life-Balance

Working overtime (also on weekends/holidays) was seen as a proof of productivity and motivation. Most employees were sick all the time and still at work.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Passive-aggressiveness, promoting toxic positivity to manipulate employees into self-deprecation, discussing private issues at work (agency run by married couple) and playing ‚good cop bad cop‘ to put pressure on employees

Interessante Aufgaben

Projects were okay-ish for a lower tier design agency.

Actually there were only young people.

Had to bring my own equipment.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Low wages (especially considering all the overtime) and squeezing even more out of job starters with low-paying ‚Trainee‘ positions

Intellectual Property Theft and Breach Of Confidentiality are criminal offenses that no employer takes lightly because they easily threaten the existence of any company. Much to our dismay, studiomem had to pursue and stop this former employee legally.
