You could be direct and transparent with everyone, be it colleagues or the owers.
There were not many integration activities at the time.
At the time we did a couple internal projects during the transition from one project to another. I believe it would have been more fruitful for getting new projects participating in more RFPs and more networking.
Nicely located in Munich, there are great restaurants around to meet with colleagues post work. Work atmosphere is good, and proactivity is rewarded. Owners are open for conversation whenever you are facing any difficulty.
Since many employees were rather new, it is hard to define whether they spoke about the company often. I can only thank the owners for their support during my tenure, so their image for me is impeccable.
Owners are open to your needs as long as you communicate with transparency and ahead of time. They will do their best to balance work, and just like any other agency, you will go through periods of much work and periods of less work.
The company had special projects for the wellness of the environment running in parallel during my time, not sure today.
As mentioned before, they will adapt to your needs to help you grow in a direction you find fulfilling.
All colleagues I had at the time were great people looking to learn different subjects and interests.
At my time, owners were open to mold the future of the agency according to everyone's interest, looking for work in the areas of interest of the majority of the employees.
They will adapt work according to your needs so you can bring your best to the table.
Since the agency is rather small you get the chance to participate in every step of a project, and you can learn about everything that happens from budgeting to delivery.
Salary is equivalent to what other agencies of same size would pay.
Making your job interesting is up to the employee, even a simple task can become interesting if you find a learning out of it. And you will not be doing repetitive tasks.
- Interesting projects
- Opinions are listened to, opportunity to grow
- I can bring my skills and put them to use
As the team grows, we could do more social events and build a good company culture
Result based expectations. Working hours are generally flexible if the outcomes are visible. Possibilities to work from home and the office.
Encouraged to take up courses and trainings, which get compensated.
Competitive salaries
The team is growing...
Good guidance, regular reviews, enough time to work independently.
A big office space with a meeting room to work collaboratively and also individual desks.
Interesting range of projects with the scope & freedom to approach them uniquely
Forward thinking and Caring.
Still more on the boutique size.
Find more ways to promote and spread the word about successful projects and collaborations. More advertising could be helpful.
Good hybrid model with office and home office days. Very nice colleagues.
Well known in the German Design Scene, many awards.
Work life balance is highly respected.
Can be chosen individually with a yearly budget.
Most colleagues get along very well, as in every place sometimes you won't get along with everyone.
Great office space, which sometimes it gets very hot during summer months. Luckily nowadays we can do home office if necessary.
Regular two-way feedback sessions at eye level.
There could be more male team members.
Great clients, diverse fields of work, purposeful challenges.
Drop the buzzword-bingo, check your egos, learn to appreciate real values instead of superficial self-representation and toxic hustle culture. That‘s so last century.
I felt very unappreciated and pressured as an employee even though my work and skills had been acknowledged.
I‘d never recommend anybody to work at/with studiomem.
Working overtime (also on weekends/holidays) was seen as a proof of productivity and motivation. Most employees were sick all the time and still at work.
If they like you they praise you to the skies. If they don‘t - well, they will make you feel it. Unprofessional behavior leading to a toxic, unwelcoming atmosphere.
Actually there were only young people.
Passive-aggressiveness, promoting toxic positivity to manipulate employees into self-deprecation, discussing private issues at work (agency run by married couple) and playing ‚good cop bad cop‘ to put pressure on employees
Had to bring my own equipment.
On a positive note: You could ask for feedback frequently. The negative side: this availability was also tied to micro-management.
Low wages (especially considering all the overtime) and squeezing even more out of job starters with low-paying ‚Trainee‘ positions
Projects were okay-ish for a lower tier design agency.
