Too much wasted potential. Cannot ignore that many negative reviews…
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The colleagues, almost exclusively. The product is mildly interesting but the quality is not very impressive, and if you thrive for excellence, at some point you will be disappointed.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Foreign company trying to force its ways into the german job market. This may work in Taiwan but it certainly does not work in Germany. Change!
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Behave more like a european company and less like a foreign business. You are in Germany. If you want to sell to Europeans and cash out in Euros you need to adapt to the market as well. You cannot have it your way on all aspects.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
On your first year you maybe go happy to work, eager to start your day and meet the colleagues. After some months of repetitive work, low motivation and very few development possibilities, especially in the career/salary aspect, you start to grow tired and cynical. This is a generalized phenomenon.
Kommunikation
Within a departament it generally runs well, with other departments sometimes difficult, and to the headquarters in Taiwan is absolutely catastrophic.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Probably the only thing holding the german branch together. Most colleagues stay because of the colleagues, and it is not uncommon to see waves of friends going away all together.
Work-Life-Balance
Some departments complain of being overworked, at least in some departments you really can do a 7-to-3 or 9-to-5 and disappear for the rest of the day. Points subtracted due to lack of home office. Absolutely stupid decision in 2024. Not possible to organize a day at home, therefore work/life balance is very bad in this regard.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
If you are lucky, you get a Manager with great mentoring qualities and you can learn a lot. If you’re not lucky, you might get a tyrant with absolutely no idea of people managing, bad decision-making and irrational behavior, such as contradicting himself, blaming others, etc.
Interessante Aufgaben
Depending on the department, you might learn an interesting thing or two. After two years it gets really difficult to want to stay longer.
Gleichberechtigung
Probably the only other positive point.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Not really the best, the hardware provided is outdated, chairs are not ergonomic and very cheap, a lot of colleagues had back issues. It is one thing to “spare”, another is to be “cheap” and almost criminally cheap.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
The conditions in the office are ok, but you know what would improve the ecological and social standpoint? HOME OFFICE.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Probably the absolutely worst point. VERY far from the branch. It is not unheard of that colleagues leave for the same position in other company and get a higher salary as their manager, or colleagues that double their salary from just a company change. Absolutely catastrophic. I heard it changed a bit in the last year.
Image
Have to agree to all previous ratings… Outside, the company seems to have an OK image with distributors and customers, inside, on the other hand, is very cynical and demotivating.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
It is possible to learn a bit from the job, or get some minimal trainings, but the budget is very low and the company focuses on “learn on the job” even if it takes longer and you don’t really formally “learn” in the right way, instead of providing good trainings that would improve the work efficiency immensely.
