Stay far from the IT and TLC Department if you want to improve your career status.
This department is poorly managed, reluctant to changes and without clear communication.
There are no clear goals, you will work on what happens on the day.
Unless you are OK with daily boredom, confusion and no career progression.
The reasons are due to
- former employees that moved away leaving no documentation on procedures and process
- lead / management position granted to highly tech-skilled employees but without any clue on how to manage people.
The current lead and managers were reluctant until last year also to a minimum of development of a knowledge base, and so to share the knowledge.
Reluctance is also registered on delegation, a key requirement / skill for a team lead.
The situation has slightly improved after huge pushes on requests of changes but way far from being considered normal in such an organization.
