Work Environment Marked by Disrespect and Public Shaming
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Working here has been a frustrating experience. While every company has its challenges, a respectful work environment should be a given—but unfortunately, that’s not always the case.
Kommunikation
Some managers seem to think that pressure and public humiliation are effective leadership tools. Instead of addressing issues professionally, employees are called out in meetings, criticized in front of colleagues, and even singled out in internal Slack channels. Mistakes—often caused by unclear communication—are met with sarcastic comparisons.
This isn’t just demotivating; this behavior could also be in conflict with German labor law. Employers have a duty to provide a workplace free from insults and humiliation. Publicly shaming employees in front of colleagues or in company-wide communication channels may contradict this obligation.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
On the bright side, the team itself is great—colleagues support each other, and there’s a real sense of solidarity in dealing with these challenges. But that doesn’t change the fact that leadership sets the tone, and right now, that tone is anything but professional.
Bottom line: If you value a workplace where respect and fair treatment are the norm, I’d think twice before joining.
