Executive and Local Leadership lack of expertise, failure to judge competitive markets, failure to guide the employees in right direction, failure to communicate, failure to keep employees happy, failure to collaborate with local employees and so many things where they have failed the entity.
Don't shut doors of other company's where you will join once you shut the doors of PagoNxt German entity. Start from the basics and learn how you can lead a company, so that you wont let other employees suffer due to your vision less and incompetent skills.
Constant changes in projects, stopping projects where employees worked for more than a year, incompetent executive management lead the company to finally shut it doors.
Executive management and new MD could have made this company better, if they had expertise and vision to guide.

No raise since it's inception. Slashed variable bonus to save cost, no inflation bonus, creepy subsidised food.
Employees did their best to work on projects which had no vision as management was busy building teams in other countries where they already had good revenue.
You being the management (specially newly opted MDs and Deputy's) need to stay focused and guide your employees in the right direction for successful growth of the company. Instead your vision less and incompetent behaviour lead the company to shut its door, impacting 600 employees spread across 3 continents.
I would recommend you to start your career from the basics else you will shut many more doors down the line.
WORST WORST WORST. Executive management flew in business class to conduct town hall to say they are shutting down the entity. What a worst way to announce it and reason of shutting down is " Competitive Market". SERIOUSLY!! You are the executives and it was your responsibility to gauge the competitiveness and guide your employees in the right direction.
Executive Management didn't had any vision or mission for this entity. All focus is on other country.
Managed to hire good diversified people, but failed to implement basic benefits for them like allowing them to work from home country for few weeks.
Lately nothing was interesting as the executive management was busy winding down the company and the projects where employees worked tirelessly.

There are real good employees are working for the product success. Obviously, unnecessary layers are making them unmotivated.
As Elon musk said, for one Developer and tester, there are five managers. That's the current scenario in pagonxt. Please get rid of unnecessary layers and invest in restructuring.
Old days infrastructure putting you behind the competitors.
In some departments, helpful colleagues are available. Few departments are understaffed and rude behavior.
Ship starting to sink. The reason is agreed projects never been completed. Postponement is a regular activity.. most of the colleagues are just tired and staying for payslip. Good ones starting to move out meticulously.
It's up to Santander corporate to decide on future of this chaotic organization. They have to make really tougher decisions to bring out new leadership to make their aspirations really come true in Germany.

There is no talk of salary raise or no plans for promotion. If you are friend of the manager then moving-up the ladder is possible. No matter how hard one works, no help from wirecard based managers.. they only support their old wirecard community members..
You are on your own if you don't have friends from wirecard days. All the new people came after the wirecard debacle really thrown under the bus when they face any difficulties.
Few old colleagues from wirecard days act as if they are the kings... Mostly smoother overall
Managers don't care or they don't want to care about the fruitful process improvements. There is a big gap between Santander expectations vs current wirecard managers execution.. one is more confused always
Complaining mentality aka disease everywhere. Wirecard managers formed an inner circle among themselves to counter Santander Team inputs from spain. Difficult to understand what they are trying to achieve.
There are lot of backlogs in most of the teams. Still releasing any features are painful. Older release process doesn't give freedom to build out of box products. Most of the managers doesn't come from technical background and they don't understand the value of getting rid of technical debt. One is expected to be pawn not otherwise.

Office ist sehr modern, es gilt FlexDesk mit open space, aber es ist alles großzügig und nicht sehr laut
Keine Bezahlung von Überstunden, seit November 2023 gibt es aber eine elektronische Zeiterfassung.
Es gibt eine Schulungsplattform, die sehr vielfältig ist und auch mit LinkedIn-Learning verknüpft ist. Sprachtrainings (Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch) werden ebenfalls angeboten. Fachliche Weiterbildungen müssen mehr gefördert werden.
