So far, the company has offered and given a relatively large amount of flexibility, although in some cases each team has decided for itself (unfortunately counterproductive given the number of employees if everyone does their own thing).

I have never experienced such cheeky and truly disrespectful treatment. This is a “workplace”, a company that operates economically, but there is a lot missing there when it comes to respect and professionalism. Maybe the CEOs should consider letting some people in leadership positions make these big decisions (better not if you have these type of people in your company). Or train them again in “how do I treat people respectfully?” completely miscast.

Schönes Office, nette Kollegen. Es gibt wie immer Obst, Kaffee und Getränke aber am Ende nützt das alles wenn die Firma den Bach runtergeht weil die Atmosphäre nicht gut ist.

In den letzten Wochen ist viel passiert, es gab viele Änderungen und ich hab das Gefühl, dass die Firma trotz aller Maßnahmen ertrinken wird.

Bietet den Leuten welche noch da sind Boni / mehr Gehalt. Diese halten derzeit den Landen am laufen trotz ständiger Unterbesetzung. Sonst sind bald alle alten Hasen weg.

Nachdem innerhalb von 1 Jahr knapp 70 Leute entlassen wurden, ist die Stimmung alles andere als gut. Vor allem nach der letzten Massenkündigung und „Umstrukturierung“ der Firma ging es rapide bergab. Die Leute, welche nicht gekündigt wurden, kündigen nun von selbst, weil sie keine Lust auf das Chaos haben und teilweise sehr unzufrieden sind, wie Dinge gehandhabt werden. Wirklich Mühe gegeben, die Kollegen zuhalten wird sich auch nicht.

- no inflation increase for working students although it hit us the most - the company does not pay for the BVG ticket although they want to see you in the office once a week

- higher diversity in higher positions (team leads, Heads, VPs, ...) - more company events (coffee breaks together, use of the event kitchen, ...) - better promotion for health (urban sports, mental health offers, ...) - events in which the different departments mix. I see so many faces but I would also love to know more about what they do on a day-to-day basis.

My managers are also my colleagues and treat you as such. The overall goal is to make our services better and it is seen as a team act. There are regular team events and events on the department/ company level. Although we still say that we are a startup, we are slowly transitioning out of the startup culture - meaning: there are occasionally beers after 6 p.m., but most people go home.

I can only speak for my team here, but I have maximum flexibility when it comes to my working hours. As long as I get my work done, I can choose my working hours and my location. I have heard similar things for other working students in my department.

Last September, a new office in the centre of Berlin was pompously opened. Those giving tours of the office were keen to tell how much money had gone into buying a single chair or a professional coffee machine. The executives were so proud of the office space and equipment. Meanwhile, already in February there were about 20 layoffs, the 2022 layoffs I am not mentioning because the number of people fired was not drastic. Over the following months, we were regularly updated on the state of the company, so there was nothing to predict another wave of layoffs, which occurred in August this year. 35 people were laid off. Each of the people laid off had an individual meeting with, among others, a woman working in HR. How would you have felt during that meeting, seeing the constant smile on her face? Maybe the company's management should reflect on their words that they handled the matter humanely. Humanely it certainly wasn't, but very contemptuous. Maybe instead of spending a lot of money on a modern office and such expensive equipment, in a situation where a lot of employees worked from home, it would be worthwhile to take care of your dedicated and loyal employees and, above all, learn to be human.

But I will be completely honest: I dont have any advice i can give that turns around the current downwards trend, financially and in the teams motivation, thats the leaderships task.
