Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
My internship at Würth Elektronik was a frustrating and disappointing experience due to poor management, lack of proper training, and broken promises.
From the start, things were disorganized. My assigned supervisor went on an extended holiday without informing me, leaving me with no structured tasks or guidance for over a month. Instead of real work, I was left assisting colleagues and reading materials, with my manager dismissing this period as a "honeymoon phase"—even though I was supposed to be actively working on a project.
When my supervisor finally returned, things did not improve. Not only was he unfamiliar with the project and unhelpful, but he also misbehaved with me multiple times. I reported this to my manager, expecting support, but instead, I was asked to provide proof—something that was impossible since I couldn’t record meetings. As a result, my manager dismissed my concerns and continued siding with the supervisor, despite me clearly stating that I was uncomfortable working with him.
I was initially promised multiple training sessions, but these turned out to be just two-hour introductions to different software—far from the in-depth learning experience I was expecting. Then, a few months later, my initial project was abruptly canceled due to a lack of expertise within the team. I was reassigned to a new project, starting from scratch.
Despite making significant progress, my working hours were suddenly cut to 20 per week under false pretenses. HR later confirmed that there were no actual company restrictions on my hours, meaning I was misled by my manager. With reduced hours and constant unrelated tasks from colleagues, I barely had time to focus on my project, leading to yet another unfinished assignment.
I raised all these concerns with HR in our last meeting, providing specific dates and times of incidents. I was assured that they would look into it and explore other opportunities within the company. However, after that meeting, I never heard back from HR again.
Six months is a significant amount of time for any student who is just starting their career, and having it wasted due to poor management and false promises is extremely disappointing. Instead of gaining valuable experience, I was stuck in an unstructured and unproductive environment.
Overall, my experience at Würth Elektronik was a waste of time. Poor leadership, lack of structured mentorship, misleading promises, and a complete disregard for employee concerns made this internship highly unproductive. If you're looking for a company that values learning, growth, and professional respect, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.
