I did an internship at L&B, first in Online Marketing Team, and then extended my time at the firm to try out Academy & Sales Team. I had an amazing opportunity to work with both teams and in every team I was very welcomed, everyone was very helpful, friendly and happy to take the time to explain me how the things work. Despite being an intern, I had my own project and quite a lot of responsibility.
As a non-native German speaker, I felt myself very comfortable communicating with the colleagues from all over the firm. There are a few English-speaking colleagues as well and the international team is growing, which is great to see!
On some days the office feels a bit small for such a quickly growing team, but recently a new and stylish office spaces were added in a new and old video studio.
Friendly and open! Your own initiative and ideas are highly valued and heard.
With both of the teams I worked for, we always had lunches together and often stayed for an after-work drink and a round of table tennis, or BBQ and sundowner in the summer.
Lots of team events, company- and team-wide (e.g. Sommerfest, Alpaca Wanderung, etc.). Also a big focus on sports together - football matches with the whole company or bi-weekly classes at Barry’s (the idea of a colleagues that was implemented within a week).
Despite a relatively small size, lots of employees’ benefits: corporate benefits, gym discount, free access to L&B App, opportunity to do a 4-day L&B Ausbildung, incredible discounts on L&B products and theraphy, to name a few.
Top work-life balance. Also comparing to many friends all over Europe, we had one of the best models during corona time. We could come to the office twice a week or more, if needed, we were tested daily and could enjoy the normal working atmosphere in the office.
Company puts a huge focus on environment, e.g. recycled packaging of products, recycled paper at work.
Strong-team spirit!
Quite a young team, with a few older colleagues, who are of course respected and who also take a very active part in the team activities or sports.
Company management team and Raoul himself always have an ear for you and your ideas or feedback. Feedback or initiatives implemented very quick as the company is quite small and agile.
Working spaces equipped very good. Comfortable desks, huge screens, water & soft-drinks, so everything you need is there! If you need anything for home office you get help or can take old tables or screens (as I did).
From my experience, very good, quick and easy.
Equality at all levels is there for sure.
I had interesting tasks and could rotate across teams to try out new things that I have never done before. I would say it depends on the person himself, how much initiative he shows and how much responsibility he wants to take, but the environment and support is there!
